The LPV team is sad to say we lost Melin Menas, LEAP class of 2022. She touched so many individuals with her welcoming heart and infectious spirit. Every interaction that the LPV team has had with Melin was impactful but most importantly, memorable. Her loving and caring energy will be dearly missed and we’re sending all prayers out to her family and loved ones.
Melin worked for Freedom Credit Union as a Branch Officer where she worked her way up from teller. She was born in Manila, Phillipines, grew up in Rumford, Maine before moving to Springfield 18 years ago. She was passionate about mentoring young people including involvement with Junior Achievement, Springfield School Volunteers, Springfield Ballers, and Boys Ink. Through LPV, her team was working on a community project to better connect small businesses in Easthampton.
