Alumni

A primary goal of LPV is for LEAP participants to connect and establish long-term bonds with fellow participants within their year and across multiple years.

LPV Alumni will aim to improve the quality of the Pioneer Valley and its communities by:

  • Supporting the continued development and expansion of the LEAP  program

  • Initiating collective discussion and resolution of community issues by working together and sharing resources

  • Planning networking and learning events on a regular basis to encourage leadership sustainability and awareness of issues facing our community

Program participants will be taught specific skills and develop comfort in communicating with people across traditional boundaries – and will be shown ways to sustain and enhance those networks over time.

LPV will offer many ways for alumni to stay connected with each other and sustain their collaborations, through Facebook, LinkedIn, and by organizing alumni meet-ups throughout the Valley. Alumni are also encouraged to come up with their own ways to stay connected – whether it’s an impromptu gathering, building their own social network, or reaching out to fellow alumni for a specific opportunity.

Leadership Pioneer Valley should be considered a lifetime of learning and connecting. Alumni will have occasion to attend social events, workshops, and other learning opportunities. We will also create possibilities for alum to be next session’s curriculum developers, trainers, and Steering Committee members.

LPV will connect program alumni to opportunities to serve on boards of directors or get involved in community organizations.
