Rise to the Next Level of Board Involvement

Our region relies on nonprofit leaders to take on the challenges in areas of need from education to addiction. To support their good work, Leadership Pioneer Valley provides the training and personal connections needed to nurture new board members and enhance the skills of those who are already involved through our Leaders OnBoard Program.

Leaders OnBoard Program Offerings Include:

Board Basics Workshops

Whether you are considering board membership for the first time or have served long-term, our 3-hour long training led by a local expert covers topics like what it means to sit on a board, how to be effective, and how to ensure your values are reflected in your nonprofit work.

Peer2Peer connections

Explore topics like strategic planning, fundraising, and board roles in small, facilitated group discussions with other nonprofit board members and staff. Swap notes and ideas while strengthening your relationships with other regional nonprofit leaders.

Board Matching

Our speed-dating style board matching events are a great opportunity for individuals and organizations with shared interests and needed skills to come together to strengthen an organization’s leadership. Through Board Matching, Leadership Pioneer Valley will provide formal follow-up to ensure promising matches are made.

Board Conference

With a range of workshops on topics including fundraising, board roles,  board diversity, and more, our conference is designed for people with a range of board experience- from those who have never served to those with years of experience. Network with other nonprofit professionals and strengthen your confidence to be prepared for board service.
